I had a picture of a 70's/80's album cover by heaven knows who that I wanted to use as inspiration. I'd put a copy of it here, but my computer might explode. Dang it, I really want high-speed internet real bad. But I digress.
I made an album cover, as if we, the student council, had produced an album called, "Rock the Mtn." (our theme for next year). You know what (and I'm probably spoiling a HUGE secret), but, since most of us on the council are musically talented, we're probably (I'm REALLY hoping) going to write a "rock" song as a theme for next year. Don't be surprised if the first assembly is basically a rock concert. I don't know what rockers do to get people so excited, but it works. Is it just drugs? 'Cause we won't have any of those... I SWEAR.
You'll be seeing a lot of this cover. Also, I didn't want to just slap it on the cover. That's what the past few years have done: just slap something on. And, frankly, they look terrible. Even Raisa agrees that this past year's one is ugly. So I wanted to raise the bar.
I took basically two full days making it. UGH. Sitting in front of the computer all say long can be so boring. But I hope the quality shows. It probably doesn't show on this low-rez version for the internet, but when you see the real thing, I hope you are impressed.
The cover is Mountain View and some places around it (if you can't tell, that's Stonehenge planted on the football field), interspersed with rock instruments (guitars, amps, speakers, drugs, erm, keyboards)...
Then to put that on the rectangular cover, we printed the album cover out full size, taped it to an existing album (the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, as a matter of fact, lol), and went to the school and took pictures of it and a stack of records various places. This one turned out best.
Enjoy! Now if only it would finish loading the pictures... Okay. They're not working. I'll have to give 'em to you later.

Head Banging. Head Banging and drugs. That's how rock stars get people excited. Fog too, freaky lights, and a guitar solo that goes really high.
Haha. No, I think the audience will be pretty willing to be excited for the first assembly. I mean I sure want to be there!
