Duplication

Want to know something interesting about me (I think it's interesting)? I have a lot of music in my music library. A lot of disparate music. Very odd music, come to think of it...

Anyway, so I have a lot of music. I find that I have a lot of duplicates. Not by the same artist, mind you, but various versions, various arrangements. You see, I like comparing them. How do these different people do such different things with this same song? I especially like re-adaptations of classical songs; I specifically have a playlist entitled "Themes and Variations" for this. And not necessarily (preferably not) rock adaptations (though there are plenty of those out there). I like JAZZ adaptations. WHOO! Those are exciting. I like what's termed the "Crossover Style." Anyway, that's what it's called over at the library. It incorporates elements of classical and jazz. 'S why I like Claude Bolling so much.

I like arranging. Perhaps that's what I want to do (woah, am I actually saying something I might want to do?! What a big step!)... For now, I'll try some here and there. As I say, I like it. But we'll see what comes of it.
